Wendy's humorous mystery novel I Murdered the PTA was a top
five finalist in Court TV's Search for the Next Great Crime Writer. I Murdered
the PTA and its sequel I Murdered the Spelling Bee were published by Zumaya Publications and are
available on Amazon. Her kitschy thriller
Thrift Me Deadly was a top three finalist in the Fabri Literary Prize
competition.
Known for her quirky sense of humor, Wendy has written and
sold greeting card copy, and magnet, button, and key chain slogans to
social expression companies such as Ephemera Inc., Snafu Designs, Kalan,
Rockshots, Plum Graphics, and West Graphics. Wendy has written humorous flash animation scripts and song parodies for Flowgo, Madblast, and Smilepop. She co-wrote the script Lumberjacks, part of a Telly Award-winning children's
educational video series. Two of her how-to articles about writing appeared in
the premiere writers' guide The Writers Handbook.
An avid vintage clothing and accessories collector, she is
curator of the handbag museum The Vintage Purse Museum, an online-only exhibit of a massive real-life collection, privately housed in Tucson, Arizona. For
her dual life as a freelance writer and vintage purse aficionado, Wendy was
named one of America's Most Unique Characters in USA Network's Show Us Your
Character competition.
Wendy's current pursuit is researching and documenting vintage handbag facts and bag makers' histories before they are lost to time.
